JOSHUA -- Ruth Morgan Allen, 91, of Joshua, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, in Burleson. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Reece Prairie Baptist Church, Burleson. Interment: Caddo Cemetery, Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Reece Prairie Baptist Church building fund or Caddo Cemetery Association. Mrs. Allen was born April 5, 1917, in Avery to John William and Ethel Harvey Morgan. She married Roy Gaston Allen on Oct. 22, 1936, in Alvarado. She was a member of Reece Prairie Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed her flowers, playing 42 and was a Dallas Cowboy fan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Jason Allen; and several sisters. Survivors: Sons, Ronny Allen and wife, Bobbie, of Fort Worth and Dennis Allen and wife, Vicki of Cleburne; daughter, Barbara Parmer and husband, Bill, of Tolar; brother, John L. Morgan of Cleburne; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other family members; and many friends.
