Ruth A. Doty

JOSHUA -- Ruth A. Doty, 88, of Joshua, a homemaker, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at home. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Ruth was born June 24, 1922, in Colorado City to Rice and Eula Sanders Carter. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Frank Doty, on Dec. 12, 2000; her parents; two grandsons, Rocky Doty and Terry Hall; and one sister, Martha Bentley. Survivors: Daughters, Charlotte Kirkpatrick and husband, W.M. "Speedy," of Glen Rose, Helen Rhodes and husband, Virgil, of Joshua and Barbara Yancey and husband, Glenn, of Rendon; sons, Richard Doty and wife, Janice, of Texarkana and Tommy Doty and wife, Karen, of Burleson; sisters, Betty Jean Bartolowits and husband, Bill, of Crowley and Carolyn Walker and husband, Don, of Benbrook; grandchildren, Rick Doty, Randy Hall, Cherie Andrews, Pamela Waits, Kim Neeper, Wesley Rhodes, Curtis Rhodes, Brian Doty, Brad Doty and Brandy Levens; many great-grandchildren; extended family; and friends.
