Ruth Putman

BURLESON -- Ruth Putman, 78, a retired purchasing agent, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Joshua. Burial: Caddo Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Ruth was born Nov. 17, 1927, in Joshua to William and Dollye Maupin Putman. Ruth was a retired purchasing agent from Williamson-Dickie. She retired in 1991 after 46 years of service. Ruth was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Joshua. She taught Sunday school and sang in the adult choir for many years. Ruth loved traveling. She circled the globe in both directions, visiting over 60 countries and all 50 states from 1947-1988. She was selected and included in Who's Who in American Women 1975 edition. Survivors: Brother, Hubert Putman of Burleson; numerous cousins.
