Sandra Kay Wright was born in Springtown Texas on June 12 1943, to Joe and Francis (Gallagher) Lawson. She passed away Friday morning January 21st 2023. She was transported to her heavenly home surrounded by her family.
Sandra grew up in Pool Ville Texas on a dairy farm as an only child with her parents.
In 1963 Sandra married the love of her life James Woodard Wright in Pool Ville Texas. They moved to Burleson Teas in 1972 and raised their children James and Pam. Sandra loved God, and was a devoted wife, loving mother, mother in law, and a tender, loving grandmother.
Sandra was a woman of few words, who liked to be at home sewing, knitting, and reading her huge collections of books. She was tough, cancer survivor, strong through many losses of those she loved. Her family and friends describe her as a simple woman who wore jeans and a T-shirt. She wasn’t fond of hugs, but if you receive one from her you felt very special! She was smart, spunky, witty, fun, and very creative. She was a wonderful person who loved with all her heart and soul. She would do anything for the people she cared about. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Francis Lawson, and her children Pamela Smith and James Wright.
Sandra was survived by her son-in-law Edward E. Smith who she called her son, and her four grandchildren, Michael A. Wright, Nickolas J. Wright, Devin T. Smith, and Kaylee D. Smith.
Sandra and her loving ways, and tender heart will forever live in our hearts.
