Scott Edward Crabtree of Joshua, Texas, left this world on May 16, 2019.
As our Lord wanted him free from pain, free to walk, free to breathe and free to enjoy His blessing of everlasting life - his long and strong battle with multiple ailments ended peacefully at home. He was 60 years young.
Scott was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on April 24, 1959.
Growing up, he and his brothers were indeed ‘Corporate Brats' as their father's professional promotions had them frequently relocating to such places as Florida and Ohio. In the fall of 1974 the family settled into the Mountain Valley Community of Joshua, Texas. Scott was a high school sophomore and that's when the fun really began.
Throughout his years at Joshua High School and the decades to follow, his friends recalled him with great love and affection. They said he had, "A humor all of his own", "A laugh that would light up a room" and "A look that would bring a smile to your face." To some friends Scott was more like a brother. One recently said, "This old world will never be the same and neither will Heaven."
Scott graduated at the top of his class from the Fort Worth Technical Trade School. He worked for Halliburton Industries for 29 years as a CNC Lathe Machinist and Dispatcher.
Scott loved being outdoors - camping, fishing, hunting, even just being outside and mowing his yard - it HAD to be just perfect. Himself a high school athlete, he later followed the Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and NASCAR. Scott's favorite college team was the University of Michigan Wolverines from his birth-rite roots in Ann Arbor. He loved music, working with his hands and creating things from just an idea. He was a talented poet and cartoonist. Scott loved and adored his pets.... Hank being his all-time favorite.
Scott was preceded in earthly departure by his beloved parents Carol Crabtree Dickerson and Earl Crabtree.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years Kelly Read Crabtree, brother Mark Crabtree and wife April Crabtree, brother Steve Crabtree and wife Susan Crabtree, multiple nieces and nephews, and fur-babies Sylvester, Fritz, Berry and Louie.
A memorial and celebration of Scott's life will be held at the Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua, TX at 10:00 am Saturday May 25, 2019. Pastor Kevin Mau of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
