Sharon Ann (West) Wright

Sharon Ann Wright, 78 passed away on July 6, 2023, in Burleson, Texas.
She was born on June 19, 1945, in Cleburne, Texas to Walter and Elva West. She married Howard L. Wright of Cleburne on November 30, 1963. After graduation from Cleburne High School, she began her career with Southwestern Bell in Cleburne. During her career with AT&T, she held numerous management positions in Fort Worth and Dallas. She was an Area Manager responsible for business accounts in Fort Worth at the time of retirement. She was active in the Burleson community. She was a long-time member of the Burleson Business & Professional Women, also serving as Acting Director of the Burleson Chamber of Commerce, and a long-time member of Athena Society of Burleson. For many years she and Howard served on the fundraiser committee of Johnson & Ellis County Meals on Wheels. Obtaining donations for Meals on Wheels was a passion for Sharon. She was a member of Calvary Church of Fort Worth/Burleson. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and many friends and occasional golf games with her husband and close friends. She was the official scorekeeper and would laugh when a suspicious number of putt strokes were reported, especially by her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Elva, and her brother, Delmer West.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Wright, brother, Bryon West, nieces and numerous friends.
