Shelly Alane Watson, 51, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Joshua. Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God Joshua. Interment: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Rev. Wilbur Stanley will officiate. Shelly was born on July 16, 1963, in Panama City, Fla., to Douglas and Ruby Baldridge Lavender. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, working, reading and playing keno with her church friends. Shelly was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Joshua. Survivors: Husband, Keith Watson of Joshua; children, son, Jason Watson and wife, Danielle, of Benbrook and daughter, Mellisa Thomas and husband, Brandon, of Joshua; parents, Doug and Fran Lavender of Fort Worth; brothers, Curtis Lavender, Tim Lavender and wife, Nancy; sisters, Toni Lavender and Amy Egbert and husband, Tom; six grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
