Shirley Kay Bowen

Shirley Kay Bowen, 74, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Feb. 18, 2020. She was born Feb. 15, 1946, in Denison, Texas, to George and Elsie Mae (Young) Wright.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at Burleson Church of Christ, with Mr. Karl Jones officiating. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Shirley spent her time sewing, spending her time with her dogs, traveling and being with her family. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Humane Society of North Texas or to The Alzheimer’s Association.

She was preceded in death by her oldest son, David Barton Jr. of Fort Worth, and her parents, George and Elsie Wright.

She is survived by her husband, David Paul Bowen of Fort Worth; two sons, Daniel Aaron Barton of Arlington and Johnnie Barton of Fort Worth; and brother, Carroll Wright and wife, Maggie, of Burleson.
