Smith Ruth

JOSHUA -- Ruth Smith, 95, a retired secretary, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, in Cleburne. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Moore Memorial Cemetery in Arlington. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Ruth was born Aug. 8, 1911, in Fort Worth to Charles E. and Artie Blair Huff. Ruth married Fred T. Smith in 1949 in Weatherford. He preceded her in death June 21, 1964. She was a loving mother and she loved gardening and genealogy. Ruth was a journalist for many years. She was a member of Wichita Avenue Methodist Church. Survivors: Son, Thomas R. Smith of Joshua; and nephew, Nick Huff and wife, Marylyn of Fort Worth.
