BURLESON -- Edmond Stanley Jackson, 74, a lifelong dairyman of Burleson, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at his residence. Funeral: 3 p.m. Sunday at Reece Prairie Baptist Church in Burleson. Burial: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 2501 Parkview Dr., Suite 600, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Mr. Jackson was born March 11, 1933, in Fort Worth to Arthur G. and Hazel M. Clowdus Jackson. Stanley started dairying with his grandfather in the Reece Prairie community near Burleson in 1948. He married Janice Yvonne Russell on July 10, 1953, in Burleson, and went on to develop a successful dairy operation with their two sons. They were awarded the Outstanding Farm and Ranch Family of Johnson County in 1984, and Stanley was awarded Master Dairyman by the Texas Dairy-Herd Improvement Association in 1991. He was a fierce competitor and accomplished horseman in the Crowley Ramblers Riding Club for 20 years. He was a member of Reece Prairie Baptist Church and celebrated 54 years of marriage with his loving wife in July. Survivors: Wife of 54 years, Yvonne Jackson; sons, Brad Jackson, Kirk Jackson and wife, Cherri; uncle, Howard Clowdus and wife, Helen; aunt, Mildred Clowdus; grandsons, Dirk, Clinton, Kyler, Kolten, all of Burleson; and numerous cousins and other family members.
