Stephen Edward "Steve" Owen

Stephen "Steve" Edward Owen, 49, of Burleson, a shipping and receiving clerk for Hayes and Stolz in Fort Worth, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in Denton. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: 2 p.m. in Mitchell Cemetery, Iredell. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Steve was born May 6, 1960, in Fort Worth to Donald Edward and Loretta Maxine Phillips Owen. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the first Gulf War. He loved anything outdoors, especially hiking, bird watching, camping and fishing. He was a loving son, brother, companion and friend. Survivors: Parents, Don and Loretta Owen of Clifton; sister, Shelly Owen of Arlington; grandmother, Veleta Phillips of Iredell; loving companion, Nadia Chambers of Burleson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
