Steven Alan Finstad was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 5, 1951 to Alan and Margie Finstad. He passed away early Thursday morning October 24, 2024 and is now with his heavenly Father.

Steve grew up in Burleson, Texas with his younger brothers Clint and Monty. He attended Burleson schools and played Football, enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved being with his family and friends.

In 1981 his first daughter, Kimberly, was born. Two years later his daughter Jennifer joined their family. In 1990 he married his wife of 34 years, Barbara McConathy Finstad and grew his family to include his stepson, Kyle Sherman, and his adopted son, David Finstad. He worked for Coca-Cola for over 40 years and made many friends across the metroplex. Steve was known as someone that loved Jesus with his entire heart. He studied the Word and had time in his Bible daily. He made people feel loved and spent much of his time serving others. He is a beloved "Papa" to nine grandchildren: Layla, Eli, Jude & Dez Sherman, Cash & Finley Blair, Channing Doan and Scarlett and Ruby Finstad.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Alan & Margie Finstad, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Fancis & Norma McConathy.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Finstad and 4 children.
Kyle Sherman and wife Stacie and their children Layla, Eli, Jude and Dez.
Kimberly Blair and husband Cody and their children Cash and Finley.
Jennifer Doan and husband Ricky and their child Channing.
David Finstad and wife Bethany and their children Scarlett and Ruby.

Steve and his kindness, his love for family and his willingness to help others will forever live in our hearts.
