ARLINGTON -- Steven Michael Rutledge, 44, a loving husband and father, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Monday at New World United Methodist Church in Arlington with a reception following. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Steve's name to the Leukemia Society or a favorite charity. Steve was born on Feb. 16, 1964, at Baylor Hospital. He graduated from Country Day School in Fort Worth, and later from Baylor University in Waco. Steve was a systems engineer at Fidelity Investments for over 15 years. He was a voracious reader and an avid traveler. His hobbies were boating, skiing and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Survivors: Steve is survived by his wife of 19 years, Lisa Lea; daughter, Alexa; son, Andrew; mother, Angela Fabry; father, Michael Rutledge; grandfather, David Andrews; stepfather, Paul Fabry; brother, David Rutledge; extended siblings, Alexa Knight, Lydia Mazerol and Brett Rutledge; uncles and aunts, Richard and Susana Andrews, Ronnie and Leilani Rutledge, Linda and Ronnie Vaughan, and Tommy and Teresa Howe.
