Sylvia Ruth (Eckols) Hastings

Sylvia Ruth Hastings was born in Solms, Texas on November 23, 1950 to Alfred and Sibyl (Cleghorn) Eckols.

She passed away peacefully early Tuesday afternoon July 18, 2023 and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her family.

Sylvia grew up in New Braunfels, Texas with her parents and six siblings, Allene Meneley, Patricia Lame, James (Jay) Eckols, Rick Eckols, Pamala Dalrymple, and Michael Eckols. Her greatest joy in life was her four sons, Jason Rohlf, James Hastings, Brad Hastings, and Brett Hastings, as well as 12 grandchildren, and 7 great-grands.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Sibyl Eckols, her husband Fredric Hastings, her sister Allene Meneley, and her son Brad Hastings.

She is survived by her three sons, Jason, James and Brett.

Sylvia will always be remembered for her kind giving heart and beautiful smile. And she will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
