Ted Whitley

Ted Whitley, 89, of Joshua, passed away Friday May 3, 2019 in Ft. Worth. Memorial Service: 10AM Wednesday, May 8, 2019 Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel, Mr. Don Kuhn Officiating. Ted was born November 4, 1929 in Post, Texas to James H. and Lula Ellen (Creasy) Whitley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jo Whitley; daughter, Donna Kay Henderson; and three brothers. Ted was a veteran of the Army Air Corps (1948-1950). He owned and operated multiple locations of Ted Whitley Insurance Agencies for over 60 years. Ted was Past District Governor, as well as Honorary Lifetime Member of the Burleson Lions Club, past member of the Elks, the Masons, and the Shriners. He was also past Mayor, Police Officer, and Fireman for the City of Forest Hill, Texas. Survivors: son, David Whitley; granddaughters, Shaena Gonzales, Savana Pickens, and Sesaly Yeager; and many other loving extended family and friends.
