Teresa Belle Rhoten

February 25, 1954 — October 26, 2021

Covington

Teresa Belle Rhoten, 67 of Covington passed away October 26th, 2021.

Teresa married Joe Rhoten and built a life together she loved for over 48 years.  During that time, the light of their lives were their two children, Rainey Dai and Harley.  Coming in a close second were Mike and Freedom.  Teresa had many titles in her lifetime some including owner of a daycare and Rhoten construction, matriarch, Sue Ellen, mom, and her most favorite, Nana.

In her younger years, you could see her and Joe dancing on the tv show, That Good Ol' Nashville Music with Glen Vowell and the Texas Country Cloggers.   Over the years they enjoyed many adventures from motorcycle rally's to mudding in the jeeps with their friends.  If you were lucky enough to share these trips with them, you know you'd start the day with a huge breakfast and end it with a jar of moonshine.   Rarely did you find her without her partner in crime, Betty Martin.  Recently she developed a new love for camping.  We were all shocked to see her go out of her comfort zone to travel with complete strangers, who have since become great friends.   She lived for family gatherings and all holidays, but was the ultimate queen of Christmas.

Her family will miss her deeply, but are left with fun and happy memories that will last a lifetime.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and LaVera Vowell.  Missing her most will be, husband Joe Rhoten, Son Mike Rhoten and wife Susan, Daughter Freedom Jay and husband Jeff.  Brother Jerry Vowell and Sister Leisa Wickline.  Grandchildren JaNice and Jeremey Arrizola, Kaylee and Brad Johnson, Brittany and Dillon Yarbrough, JoeDee Jay, Levi Rhoten, Easton Jay, and Trey Robertson.  Great grandchildren Blakelee, Jayla, Avery, Jordyn, Rylee Jay, and Laynee Belle.

No arrangements have been made at this time.
