Terry Lee Allen of Burleson, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Terry was born on July 2, 1954 in Cleburne, Texas.
He was raised in Joshua, Texas, along with his two brothers, Larry and Gary. He graduated from Joshua High School in 1972, where he excelled at many sports and became known as an amazing all-around athlete. He competed in basketball, baseball, golf, track and football. His legacy on the field was immortalized in 2018 when his football team was inducted into the Joshua Athletic Hall of Fame.
Terry became a proud father on April 1, 1978 when his daughter, Jennifer Lee Allen was born, and again on May 1, 1980 with the birth of his son, Bryan Dwayne Allen. His inseparable bond with his daughter, Jennifer brought him to Burleson, Texas, where he and Rossana set up a home down the street from hers in 2012 to remain close by. Jennifer enjoyed cooking with dad, completing various projects together, game nights, water skiing, and any ag related activities. Terry instilled in Jennifer praise, support, and unconditional love giving her the gift of confidence and high self-esteem.
Always mechanically inclined, Terry spent most of his professional career working at Siemens in Irving, Texas, where he wore many titles throughout his 22 years of employment. It was at Siemens that he met his wife, Rossana Atienzo Allen in 2008. It was love at first sight, a fairy tale relationship full of love, laughter, and dancing. They were inseparable and each other’s Rock of Gibraltar. Terry and Rossana were wed on December 11, 2015. Upon becoming a husband, he lovingly stepped into fatherhood again to Rossana’s three girls: Tanya, Christina, and Evelyn. He retired on December 30, 2021, and for Terry this meant that the party had just begun. Never one to stay still for too long, Terry kept himself busy with family, friends, hobbies, and a project- or two- or three. He enjoyed golfing, boating, and country and western dancing with his beloved wife. He was the ultimate “PawPaw” and Uncle always there to lend a hand or put a smile on his adored grandchildren’s face.
Terry lived each day as if it were a special occasion and each moment shared with family and friends was celebrated to the fullest. His joy and sense of adventure was as contagious as his smile, everyone was welcome at his table, everyone that crossed his path left with a story to tell. All that love him describe him the same way, Terry was the life of the party, he was the epitome of a friend.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, JC and Eva Allen of Joshua; the mother of his children, Pamela Walters Allen and 2nd wife, Tomacita Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Rossana Allen; brothers Larry Allen and Gary Allen and sister-in-law Anna; daughter Jennifer and husband Ruben Martinez; granddaughters Kaylee Martínez and Brooke Allen; son Bryan Allen; bonus children Tanya Guy and husband Jacob, Christina Portalatin, and Evelyn Seo and husband Steve. He was a bonus Paw Paw to Lucas and Lionel Seo, Adalyn Roper, Ethan & Wyatt Clayton and Gwyneth Guy. He is also survived by his loving uncle Cletus “Skeet” Wood and his wife Joy. He embraced his extended family as his own: Walters, Renner, Atienzo, Serrano, Cadena, Jacobs and Azpeitia Families.
