BURLESON -- Terry Gene Ford, 69, of Burleson, a retired fire alarm technician, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, after a long battle with cancer. Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Soda Springs Cemetery in Millsap. Terry was born Jan. 22, 1942, in Anson to Paul Terry and Theola Rushing Ford. He was a loving husband and father. He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and motorcycle riding. Terry proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1959-1970 as a military police officer and was decorated 13 times. He then was a police officer in Sapulpa, Okla. He came back to Texas and retired from the Simplex Time Recorder. He was a member of the Amercian Legion and rode with the Patriot Guard Riders. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul Douglas Ford. Survivors: Wife of 35 years, Debra Ford of Burleson; son, Joshua Ford of Burleson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and extended family and friends.
