Thaddis Moore

JOSHUA -- Thaddis Moore, 85, passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2011. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, First United Methodist Church of Joshua. Memorials: First United Methodist Church of Joshua, First United Methodist Church of Joshua JUMPS, Burleson Senior Citizens Center or a charity of choice. Thaddis was born July 13, 1926, in Rockwall. She was a resident in Mount Pleasant before moving to Mansfield and most recently to Joshua. Thaddis was a nurse until her retirement. She most recently enjoyed bridge, church activities, United Methodist Women activities, the Red Hatter's Club and time with her family. Thaddis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed Moore; sisters, Aliene Pool, Thelma Lee Landers; and nephew, Laddie Landers. Survivors: Daughters, Phyllis Swaney and husband, Larry, Suzy Elliott and husband, James; grandchildren, Roy Swaney and wife, Victoria, Sarah Webb and husband, Danny, Ann Swaney, Joseph Elliott and wife, Danielle; sister, Billie Weatherford; brother, Buddy Evans; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
