Theresa Correa went home to Jesus on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the age of 77.
The eldest of three children born to Agustine Diaz and Soledad Huerta on March 4, 1941. She was born in Mexico City, lived in Chicago, IL and lastly called Burleson, TX home for over 15 years.
No words are adequate to sum up 77 years of life. Theresa loved the Lord and her family. She was a devoted wife and caring mother. She dedicated her life to homemaking. When her grandchildren arrived, she was thrilled and loved them deeply. Theresa was a kind, generous, selfless and caring woman. All who met her loved her dearly. Venturing out with her family on trips, shopping and even doctor's visits were her delights. She enjoyed spending many summers in Chicago visiting her family, she took pleasure in going to the beach and dipping her toes in Lake Michigan. She loved flowers, a good laugh, a good story, good coffee and her Mexican sweet bread. Her last days were spent in her home, comforting all those who loved her dearly. She reassured us that she was at peace and told us how much she loved us. Her last breaths were used to praise the Lord.

She is survived by her three sons; Alex, Isaac and Samuel, Four daughters; Adela, Naomi, Mariel and Vania, 21 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters; a sister, Estela Huerta; a daughter-in-law Odalis (Samuel), and several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, brother Arturo Huerta and late husband, Alfredo Correa.
