In Loving Memory of Thomas Anthony Zarbo Jr. Devoted Husband, beloved Father, Grandfather, and faithful Christian.
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces that Tom Zarbo went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 3rd, 2023. Tom loved his family and dedicated his life to serving his country through the United States Air Force, nurturing his family, and serving the Lord through his church.
Born on March 9th, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, Tom knew at an early age that he wanted to serve his country and voluntarily enlisted in the USAF during the height of the Vietnam War where he supported air operations in theater from an air base in Thailand. Tom continued to serve in the USAF for twenty-six years, achieving the Air Force's top enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant.
Tom was a dedicated follower of Christ and an active member of his local church. Living out his faith with humility and grace, he loved serving the Lord whenever called. Tom had a soft and kind heart and was always willing to extend a helping hand to those in need.
Tom's memory will forever remain in the hearts of his beloved family, friends, and church community. Although he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit lives on, guiding and inspiring us to continue his legacy of service, love, and compassion. Tom's presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Zarbo, Son Scott Zarbo, Daughter-in-Law Jennifer Zarbo, Grandchildren Conner, Carly, and Chloe Zarbo, and sister Patricia D'Antonio, and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at Lane Prairie Baptist Church at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation to continue his desire to make a difference in people's lives.
In his memory the family would like to share his most treasured bible verse:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
