BURLESON -- Tommie Sue Carey, 76, of Burleson, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008. Graveside service: 9:30 a.m. Monday in D/FW National Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Sue was born April 11, 1932, in Decatur to Thomas G. and Eva M. Myers McNabb. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. As said by the family "With mom's kitchen closed, life will taste a little less sweet." Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Carey; parents; and brother, Charles L. McNabb. Survivors: Son, Joe Carey and wife, Elizabeth, of Fort Worth; chosen son, John Key and wife, Michelle, of Fort Worth; daughters, Jackie Yates and husband, Lamond, of Burleson, Amy Waddle of Fort Worth; sister, Nita Mitchel of Malin, Ore.; grandchildren, Brandi Smith and husband, Jody, of Burleson, Chelsea Jones of Burleson, Mitchell Carey and wife, Brandi, of Crowley, Cody Waddle of Burleson, Amanda Keaton and husband, Welborn, of Burleson, Sean Waddle of Fort Worth, Jackson Key of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Emory and Preston Smith of Burleson, Brooke and Tyler Jones of Burleson, Gracie Lynn Carey of Crowley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
