Tommy D. McCulley Jr., 81, of Burleson, a retired Master sergeant in the Air National Guard, died Saturday Sept. 4, 2010, in Burleson. Funeral: 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association. Tommy was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Grapevine to Tommy and Grace Wagoner McCulley. He married Nellie M. Jones on May 13, 1950, in Fort Worth. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and then retired from the Air National Guard. He loved gardening, working in the yard, especially tending to his roses, raising fruit trees, golf, and spending time with his family. Survivors: Wife, Nellie McCulley; sons, Tommy D. McCulley III and wife, Allison, of Fort Worth, John McCulley and wife, Rene, of Owasso, Okla.; daughters, Shirley Moler of Burleson, Katherene McCulley and husband, Lee Pinac, of Mansfield, Mac D'Ann Romo of Neederland; sister, Hellen Campbell Holman of Arlington; and grandchildren, Megan Kidder, Bobbie Moler, Kristen Romo, Timothy Moler, Tiffany Romo, Micah McCulley and Grace Pinac.
