Tommye Jean Clendening Sharpton, 65 of Joshua, a retired fiberglass worker, died Monday April 12, 2010 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2pm Saturday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Dido Cemetery, Dido, Texas. Visitation: 6-8 pm Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Tommye was born March 27, 1945 in Fort Worth to Buck and Mary Curry Clendening. She loved to paint, sew, crochet, crafts, coloring, and dancing. Survivors: Son, Rowdy Holt of Glen Rose; daughters, Ritta Stoner and husband, Douglas, of Glen Rose, Deedra Weller and husband, Jimmy, of Fort Worth, Trenna Stafford and husband, Dalton, of Burleson, Crystal Cook and husband, Eddie, of Glen Rose, Amber Rios and husband, Joshua, of Joshua; brothers, Bill, Jody, and Randy Clendening; sister, Sue Gibbs; 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
