BURLESON -- Treva L. Shelton, 72 of Burleson, a retired flower shop manager, died Monday, March 10, 2008, at her residence in Burleson. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Burleson. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Treva LaRue Shelton was born May 22, 1935, in Chickasha, Okla., to Arthur Lee and Ruby Lee West Smith. She married Eddie O. Shelton on Dec. 31, 1954, in Burleson. Treva was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved square dancing, working in the yard and decorating for the many organizations she was involved in. Over the years, many friends and family came to her for their wedding floral designs. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Elizabeth Underwood; and a granddaughter, Mistie Jeter Kelley. Survivors: Husband, Ed Shelton of Burleson; son, Michael Shelton and wife, Virginia, of Burleson; great great nephew and niece, Hayden and Trinity; daughter, Dianne L. Jones and husband, Reginald, of Burleson and Brenda K. Phillips of Burleson; brothers, Jimmy Smith and wife, Barbara, of Burleson, A.C. Smith and wife, Bobbie, of Burleson and Newton Smith and wife, Nita, of Van; sister, Barbra Frost of Greenville; brother-in-law, Don Underwood of Mesquite; and grandson, Beau Shelton.
