Trula Marie Mitchell

Trula Marie (Harris) Mitchell who was 80, passed away early Saturday morning December 23, 2023, at her home in Joshua, Texas.
Marie was born to Earl Harris Sr. and Margie (Honacker) Harris in Edgewood, Maryland. Marie grew up with her six siblings. Roy Harris, Earl Jr and Estelle Harris, Paulette and Richard Wilson, Larry and Judy Harris, Darlene Harris and Charleen and Tom Yarnell. Most friends and family knew her as Marie or Maw.
Marie met Jerry while he was stationed in the Army in Maryland while looking for a church. They got married on November 9, 1957. When Jerry was honorably discharged, they moved to Wylie, Texas. They lived there a few years before Jerry Glenn, then Tammy, Tracy and Michael came along. Marie was a devoted wife, a loving mom, a giving grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Marie was devoted to the church with her late husband Jerry. Marie and Jerry along with the kids traveled all over the United States together. She would do anything for her kids and grandchildren. Marie spent time with her friends Janice Duran and Geri Dilbeck and was also close to friends Billie and David Rodrick from church.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Jerry (Pops) Mitchell, her daughter Lisa Mitchell, her parents Earl Sr and Margie Harris, brother Roy Harris and sister Darlene Harris.
Marie is survived by her son Jerry Glenn, daughter Tammy, son Tracy and Desiree and son Michael Mitchell. Grandchildren Chance, Jordan and Devon Pippen, Tyler and Addison and great grandchildren Sadie, Brooklyn and Blaze and various nieces and nephews.
