Verl F. Kuhlman, 78, of Burleson, a retired foreman for the Texas Highway Department, died Wednesday Oct. 5, 2011, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Union Hill Cemetery, Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Verl F. Kuhlman was born June 20, 1933, on the family farm in Minco, Okla., to William Henry and Myrtle Mae Garrett Kuhlman. He married Barbara Jean Collins on Oct. 3, 1953, in Minco. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a member of the Burleson Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Barbara Jean Kuhlman of Burleson; sons, Terry Kuhlman and wife, Phyllis, of Burleson, Billy Kuhlman and wife, Diane, of Joshua, Donnie Kuhlman and wife, Helen, of Fort Worth; daughters, Carol Lynn and husband, Billy, of Joshua, Barbara Martin of Stephenville; brother, Murl Kuhlman of Tuttle, Okla.; sister, Maxine Bamburg of Fort Cobb, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
