JOSHUA -- Vicki Loflin Rodgers, 60, of Joshua, a retired paraprofessional for the Joshua ISD, died peacefully at her home Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Lane Prairie Baptist Church, 412 CR 704 Joshua. Interment: Union Hill Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Vicki was born March 22, 1947, in Cleburne to Robert Clarence and Claudia Pauline Hildebrand Loflin. She married Larry D. Rodgers on Jan. 17, 1965, in Granbury. She was a woman of many passions but her family was always first and foremost. Her devotion to her children and grandchildren was the thing that kept her going. She also loved her flower garden, taking long car trips with her husband and shopping. She was preceded in death by her father, R.C. Loflin, in 2003. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Hancock and the nurses at Texas Oncology for their special care of Vicki. Survivors: Husband, Larry D. Rodgers of Joshua; son, Larry E. Rodgers and wife, Paige, of Burleson; daughter, Lorie Porter and husband, Bryan, of Burleson; mother, Pauline Loflin of Burleson; brother, Gene Loflin and wife, Robin, of Joshua; grandchildren, Reid and Blake Rodgers and Ally and Will Porter; nephews, Clint and Chad Loflin and Butch and Guy Rodgers; and many close friends and other family members.
