ALVARADO -- Vinson Scott Massey, 35, an engineer in the heavy equipment industry, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Burial: Alvarado-Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Vinson Scott Massey was born June 26, 1970, in Fort Worth to Harold and Mancy Bernard Massey. He married Glenda Hoffman on Feb. 5, 1998, in Marion, S.C. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a member of the 101st Airborne, Sapper. Vinson loved to hunt, fish and cook, and was a Christian. Survivors: Wife, Glenda Hoffman Massey of Alvarado; stepchildren, Joseph Daniel Hoffman and wife, Buffy, of Wisconsin and Michael Eric Gamble of Alvarado; parents, Harold and Mancy Massey of the Burleson area; brother, Doug Forest Massey of Alvarado; sister, Micki Michelle LaRacco and husband, Rocky, of Alvarado; five stepgrandchildren; and faithful little dog, Merlin.
