Wayne Brewer

November 10, 1950 — September 25, 2022

Wayne was born in Dumas, Texas to Herbert Doss and Ruby Pearl Brewer.  After graduating from Amarillo High, he went to work for his Dad’s construction company.  In 1971, he met Jeanette in Arlington.  They were married in 1976 and later moved to Joshua in 1978, where they would establish roots and raise their family.

A carpenter by trade, Wayne worked alongside his Dad, where they built several homes and churches around the DFW area, and even a roller coaster at Astroworld in Houston.  He later worked at Six Flags in Arlington and for the last 20 years, he was a staple at Home Depot in Cleburne.

Aside from work, Wayne enjoyed doing anything that revolved around his 2 kids – T-ball coach, traveling to softball/baseball games, and going to stock shows as the family was very active in the local FFA program.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jeanette; son Perry and daughter-in-law Jordan; daughter Holly; sister Barbara; grandkids Gabe and Charlotte.

He is preceded in death by his parents Doss and Ruby.

Wayne was a cheery and loving man that always put others first.  His laugh was infectious, and he was never short of a good story.  He will forever be missed by his family members and so many of those dear friends that viewed him as family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask to make a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Huguley Hospice House.
