Wayne Nowell Sr., 83, of Joshua, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017. Funeral Services: 1PM, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 6-8PM Wednesday, May 31st at funeral home. Interment: Watt's Chapel Cemetery. Wayne was born August 12, 1933 to John and Zula (Salsman) Nowell. He was the owner of Wayne Nowell Excavation Company of Joshua. Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Garry Ray Long. Survivors: wife, Virgina Nowell; children, Debra Batten and husband, Mike of Albany, GA, Butch Nowell and wife, Lucy of Joshua; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.
