Wayne Wilson, 56, a specialist in the motive power and equipment division for the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Railroad Administration for 16 years, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, in Fort Worth as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Burial: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Wayne was born Sept. 16, 1950, in Fort Worth to Leslie E. and Vada Nell Farmer Wilson. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and also in the Army Reserve. He married Shelli Fincher on June 26, 2004, in Joshua. He served as a reserve police officer five years for Claycomo, Mo., Police Department while working for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 20 years. He was a Baptist. Survivors: Wife, Shelli Wilson of Joshua; son, Brett Wilson of Kansas City, Mo.; granddaughters, Makayla and Cate Miller; stepdaughters, Misty Miller and husband, Cody, Stephanie Starky and husband, Bryan, and Kimberly Iley; sister, Sharon McCarty of Kansas City, Mo.; niece, Leslie Ann Wiggins; nephew, Ron Crawford; great-nieces, Samantha Rae Wiggins and Haley Crawford; great-nephews, Nicholas Wayne Beach and Jeffrey Crawford; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
