William S. "Steve" Lane

FORT WORTH -- William S. "Steve" Lane of Fort Worth, passed away at his home on Wednesday April 11, 2007, at the age of 62 years. Funeral: 11:00 A.M. Monday April 16, 2007 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 7-9 P.M. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Mr. Lane was born August 9, 1944 in Roswell, NM to the late Frank Lane, Sr. and Edith Strickland Lane. Steve married Linda Pitman August 26, 1996 in Corpus Christ, TX. He was an Army Veteran, Aviation Mechanic and also a Rancher. Steve and his wife lived on their ranch in Gillett the past six years, moving from Fort Worth where he lived most of his life. He is survived by his mother Edith Lane of Austin, TX; wife Linda Lane of Gillett; daughters Sandra Brown and her husband Garold of Arlington, TX and Sharon Wagner and her husband Steve of Joshua, TX; brother Frank Lane of Burleson, TX; two grandchildren Bailey and Cody Wagner of Joshua; step-daughters Brenda Adair of Locust Grove, OK, Trish Cox of West Lake, TX, and Tammy Fields of Fort Worth; step-son William Barrett of Oklahoma City, OK; and five step-grandchildren.
