William M. Morris Sr., a longtime resident of Arlington, died on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at the age of 94. Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, 3407 Southwest Wilshire Blvd., Joshua. Bill was born March 24,1922, with his twin sister, Martha Francis, in Amarillo to parents George Thomas Morris and Francis Humphreys Morris. Bill graduated from Arlington High School, Class of 1939. He served nearly four years in the Army Air Corps, and was a B-25 flight engineer in an anti-submarine squadron in Tampa, Fla.,, returning to Arlington after World War II. He married his next-door-neighbor, Edna Davis, on Oct. 6, 1944. He received an Aeronautical Engineering Degree from North Texas Agricultural College in Arlington, and pursued a career as an aerospace design engineer, working for General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Chance Vought Corp (which later became Ling-Temco-Vought) in Dallas, from which he retired after 22 years. Bill was a licensed pilot, and was a deacon in the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington. Bill and Edna had two children, William M. Morris, Jr. and Barbara Cheryl. Edna passed June 25, 1972. Bill married Carol Danelski June 21, 1997, in Alvarado. He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Martha, and his grandson, Christopher Wilson. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Caro; his children, Bill Morris Jr. and wife, Susan, of Canyon Lake and Barbara Morris Williams of Santa Fe, N.M.; stepchildren, Vickie Danelski of Chicago, Ill., Nick A. Danelski and wife, Tammy, of Crowley, Scott Danelski and wife, Debbie, of Arlington; grandchildren, Matt Sadler and wife, Becca, of Austin, Amy Sadler Wells and husband, Darren, of New Braunfels, Juli Davidson of Dallas, Lisa Keith of Dallas, Michelle Perez and husband, Jesse, of New Braunfels; stepgrandchildren, Phillip Skaff of Chicago, Ill., Trent Danelski and wife, Allison, of Burleson, Barettt Danelski and wife, Elizabeth, of Burleson; and seven great-grandchildren.
