Willie Joe Dixon

Willie Joe Dixon, age 87 of Cleburne, Tx. was united with his Lord and Savior Thursday, May 27, 2021. Joe was born in Briggs, Tx. on June 29, 1933 to Elijah Arnold and Beatrice Etta. He completed his education from Waco Tech in 1950 and joined the US Air Force immediately thereafter. He served in the Korean War, earning The Purple Heart and The Bronze Star. He married the love of his life, Nancy Delane, in 1962 and worked as a General Manager for various printing companies for most of his life. A disciple of Christ, Joe was most proud of his service to the deaf communities in Shreveport and Houston for over thirty years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Lucille, Elijah Arnold Jr., Mildred, Odessa Lee, James Melvin, and Bobby Eugene. He is survived by his wife; sister-in-law, Grace; children Jo’Nell and Jeff and his wife Mandy; grandchildren Tyler and his wife Brandi, Maggie and herhusband Kegan, and Faith; great-grandchildren Everlee, Cassius, and Odessa Lee; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. He was a faithful servant of Christ, loving husband, and excellent role-model. He will be missed dearly.
